| The Alicat Scientific’s Whisper series digital / analog low drop mass flow meters and controllers are designed to meet and exceed the requirements that customers place on mass flow meters while offering minimal input pressure requirements. Simplicity Alicat Whisper series mass flow meters and controller are designed to be used as stand-alone devices. With the native display, a user can easily change the configuration of the meter or controller without the need for computers, complicated software or scripts. This configurability includes setpoint and PID loop parameters on controllers. Accuracy Alicat Whisper series mass flow meters and controllers can be configured with an accuracy spec of up to +/-(0.8% of reading + 0.2% of full scale). Reduced Cost of Ownership Alicat Whisper series flow instruments offer an extremely low pressure drop when compared to similar flow devices. Reduced pressure drop means more process fluids go into your process and not into your measurement devices. Whisper series mass flow meters and controller are specifically designed for applications wheres system pressure is minimal and introduction of any device can mean the difference between gas flow and a stalled system. Like the standard M and MC lines of mass flow instruments, the Whisper line also measures pressure, temperature and volumetric flow in addition to mass flow which means fewer instruments you will have to buy and install. Adding a totalizer allows users to see how much media has flowed through the system, making it a great way to monitor usage and identify waste. Whisper series flow meters and controllers require very little power to run thereby reducing operating costs. Versatility Whisper series mass flow meters and controllers are available in any flow range from 0.5SCCM through 500 SLPM. They are equipped with multiple analog outputs in addition to the RS-232 digital output. Whisper series mass flow meters can also be ordered with a 9V battery power option to make it stａnd alone secondary calibration standard or flow verification meter. Speed With a response time of under 10 milliseconds, Alicat Whisper mass flow meters respond more than twice as fast as your eye can blink while Alicat Whisper controllers can make up 1000 changes to valve position in the same blink of an eye. Small Size Whisper series mass flow meters and controllers utilize a small footprint making them easy to integrate into systems or to use as a stand-alone calibrator. Repeatability Alicat’s patented technology allows its mass flow meters and controllers to have very few moving parts. All of the internal components are fixed in place resulting in very little physical change inside the mass flow instrument. Little physical change in the flow cavity means higher rates of consistency and repeatability.
